Should you main Reyna?
Reyna is the self-sufficient Duelist: Leer blinds a lane, then every kill fuels Devour healing or Dismiss intangibility. Empress turns a multi-kill streak into a snowball round. She brings almost no team utility, so she works best when your Controllers and Initiators already cover smokes and info.
Beginners like her because her kit does not demand lineups, but she punishes poor aim harder than Sage or Brimstone. If you miss the first duel, you have no second chance from utility. Ranked stacks often run her when someone wants a fragger who can heal without tying up the Sentinel heal.
Play her when you trust your aim in isolation and your team can still take sites without your help. Skip her when you are the only person who can smoke or watch flank. Her skill ceiling is reading when to dismiss out versus when to stay for a second kill.
Track first bloods and trades more than raw spray volume: Reyna wants clean opening duels, then a dismiss angle that resets the round timer in your favor. If your Controller is missing and nobody else can smoke, leave her on the bench for that map.
