Kazuya
Electric Wind God Fist, Hellsweep mixups and devil form. Rewards precise execution.
Should you main Kazuya?
Kazuya is the classic Mishima: wavedash pressure, electric wind god fists, and hellsweep mixups that force a guess. In Tekken 8 his Heat state amplifies the Mishima game plan and rewards players who already understand frames and movement.
He is not a beginner main. Missing electrics and mashing unsafe strings will get you launch punished by anyone who knows the matchup. The fantasy is mid-screen 50/50s and crushing people who flinch.
Pick Kazuya if you are ready to lab wavedashes and electrics every day. Start with a simple poke into Heat plan, then add hellsweep threat once your defense can survive the whiff. If execution stress ruins the game for you, start on a simpler poke character first.
Wavedash into mid/low threat only after your opponent respects the electric. If they are launching your unsafe strings, delete those strings from your ranked muscle memory before you add another mixup layer. Heat smash and Heat Dash are resources; spending both for chip that loses to a duck wastes the Mishima fantasy.
