Should you main Pudge?
Pudge is the iconic offlane or mid ganker: Meat Hook lands picks across fog, Rot damages in a radius around him, Flesh Heap stacks strength, and Dismember channels a shutdown on a single hero. His whole game plan is landing hooks and turning them into kills before the enemy can react.
He is feast or famine. Missed hooks wave goodbye to your lane; landed hooks win it. Itemization usually goes toward Blink or mobility so you can start hooks from fog, then into durable items so you can Rot in the middle of fights.
Main Pudge if you enjoy high-impact skillshots and roaming for kills more than farming a perfect CS chart. Practice hook angles on every common ward spot. When behind, play for defensive hooks near your towers rather than diving fountain for highlight clips.
Hook from fog or from trees whenever you can; hooks everyone saw coming get Force Staffed for free. Stack Flesh Heap on real heroes, not only creeps, and remember that a defensive hook that saves your carry is worth as much as an offensive highlight when the game is on the line.
