Should you main Crystal Maiden?
Hard support done the old way: Crystal Nova slows the camp, Frostbite roots the offlaner, Arcane Aura keeps everyone casting, and Freezing Field is a channeled blizzard that wins fights if she lives through it. Crystal Maiden's lane plan is simple — freeze someone so the carry free farms.
She is fragile and channel-dependent. Getting jumped during Freezing Field ends the ult instantly, and she needs levels on Nova and Frostbite before she feels like a real hero. Positioning behind the front line matters more than last-hitting.
Main Crystal Maiden if you like Pos 5 duties — stacking, warding, and saving mana for the root that starts a kill. Practice Frostbite timing on escape spells. Skip her when the enemy drafts multiple blink initiators who delete glass supports before Field lands.
Frostbite the gap-closer, not the tank who wants to be rooted next to you. Freezing Field with a Black King Bar or a glimmer save wins fights; Field into three stuns is a fountain walk. Keep Arcane Aura online by staying near fights without standing in the middle of them.
