Duelist
Spider-Man
Web-swinging diver who webs and slams squishy targets in quick melee combos.
Should you main Spider-Man?
Spider-Man is a dive Duelist: web swings create vertical paths, his kit bursts isolated Strategists, and his mobility lets him leave before the Vanguards collapse. He plays the same fantasy as a flank assassin in other hero shooters — touch the backline, delete a support, swing out.
He is mechanically busy. Whiffed engages into peels get him deleted, and a team that stacks up under shields denies his pick potential. He wants off-angles and distracts the enemy while your other Duelists shoot the front.
Main Spider-Man if you already like dive heroes and will learn swing routes on each map. Call your dives so Strategists can follow up. Swap when the enemy runs heavy anti-dive or when your team needs a hitscan hold instead of a flippy assassin.
Swing routes that approach from above or behind beat head-on leaps into the Vanguard line. If two peels are waiting on you every fight, swap the dive target or the hero — stubbornly repeating the same swing into the same Cloak pull is how dive Duelists pad enemy stats.
