Should you main Brimstone?
Brimstone is the straightforward Controller: Incendiary molly, Sky Smoke map-based circles, Stim Beacon for Haste, and Orbital Strike as a denial laser. He teaches smoke fundamentals without Astra's multitasking or Omen's teleport mind games.
His smokes are fast and reliable but short-ranged from his position, so he usually plays near the site he is executing. Stim Beacon now applies the official Haste buff; drop it as the team swings, not in spawn. Orbital Strike is a plant/defuse denial and a panic clear for stacked utility.
Main Brimstone as a first Controller or when your stack wants simple, readable smokes. Learn molly lineups for post-plant on two maps before expanding. Move to Omen or Clove once you want more lurk mobility or self-smoke independence.
Place Sky Smokes on the exact angles your entry calls, then Incendiary the plant or the most common peek. Orbital Strike to stop a defuse or to flush a corner your team cannot trade into — wasting it on a single unconfirmed flicker wastes the round's biggest denial tool.
