Reinhardt
Barrier-holding hammer knight; the classic brawl tank.
Should you main Reinhardt?
Reinhardt is the classic barrier Tank: Rocket Hammer cleaves, Barrier Field creates a mobile shield wall, Charge pins a target, Fire Strike pokes through lanes, and Earthshatter knocks down a line for a follow-up. He wants close brawls where his hammer connects and his team shoots through the shield.
He loses to long-range poke comps that melt the barrier before he can close. Charge is a double-edged commitment — a pin wins the fight, a whiff feeds. Shatter timing with your Damage heroes' ultimates is the difference between a clean teamfight and a staggered loss.
Main Reinhardt if you like calling engages and holding a corner for your team. Practice swinging without dropping the shield too early, and track enemy stun ultimates that punish a blind Charge. Pair him with Supports who can keep him up in the brawl.
Call your Fire Strike cooldown so teammates know when a poke window exists, and do not drop the barrier for hammer swings unless your Supports are topped and the enemy lacks a ready stun. Earthshatter into a Lit support ult or a Trance is a wasted ultimate — wait a half-second for those to finish.
